Get In Gear Career Exploration (Non-Credit)

The Get In Gear Career Exploration Program is offered through The Centre for Skills Development & Training, and has been described by participants as ‘life changing’. This free 18-week career and trades exploration program helps participants find the path that is right for them. The first 8 weeks of the program are divided between developing life and employability skills (job search skills and aptitude assessments) while the rest of the time is spent on practical learning through hands on-training in three skilled trades: construction, manufacturing, and electrical.
