Adult Languages Program

The Adult Languages Program delivers language improvement classes in English and French for adult newcomers/immigrants 18 years of age or older.

We strive to provide all learners with the opportunity to improve their English or French language proficiency according to their individual learning goals and priorities, in a group setting. The curriculum is based on the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) standards or the Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) framework. Periodic evaluations and feedback are provided to ensure that learning outcomes are met.

  • Classes are offered at various Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) levels, from beginner to advanced levels.
  • Classes are delivered by instructors who are OCELT-certified, highly-skilled & passionate individuals.
  • Classes are available as in-person or online options.
  • In-person classes are offered out of Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Georgetown.
  • Classes are offered in the morning*, afternoon, evening and Saturdays.
  • *In-person classes are available only in the mornings
  • As we are nearing the end of the current school year, we are not accepting new registrations at this time. Registration for the 2024/25 school year will open in June.
  • Classes are offered at various niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) levels, from pre-beginner to high-intermediate levels.
  • Classes are delivered by instructors who are highly qualified & passionate individuals.
