Students finishing Grade 6 have an opportunity to enroll in a Summer Math Camp, an exciting opportunity to explore and engage in hands-on mathematics this summer.  Students will expand their confidence while deepening their knowledge and understanding of mathematics. Participation in this program will help students consolidate key concepts in mathematics to further their success in grade seven. Note: This is not a reach-ahead course. Students will not be working on Grade 7 level math. 


Who Can Participate?

Summer Math Camp is for Halton District School Board students entering Grade 7 in September who would benefit from engaging in hands-on math activities. We suggest that you speak with your child’s teacher to discuss if this program would be beneficial. 



Students may enroll in one of the following sessions.  Students may not enroll in both sessions.

Session One: July 2 – July 11th, 2019  OR  Session Two: July 15 – July 24th, 2019



Burlington:  Charles R. Beaudoin PS 8:00 am – 1:00 pm.
Georgetown:  Ethel Gardiner PS 8:30 am – 1:30 pm.
Milton:  Anne J. MacArthur 8:00 am – 1:00 pm.
OakvilleForest Trail PS 8:00 am – 1:00 pm.



Registration forms will be distributed by the home school.  



There is no cost to this program for Halton Students.


Summer School Attendance Policy

Daily attendance is required.  Attendance in any summer school program is essential in order to benefit from the program being offered.  The Summer School program provides students with opportunities to engage in authentic and experiential tasks that consolidate previously acquired knowledge and skills.



If you have indicated that your child will require transportation, you will have received a package with the required information.

Bussing is provided from a child’s home school location.  We do not bus across region (ie. Burlington to Oakville etc.)
